Get to know Bob Fletcher

Bob went to hamline University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political science and Government.   Bob also played football and his senior year was selected as captain of the Pipers.  He was a three time M.I.A.C. All-Conference Linebacker and recipient of the "Jerry Smith" award.  He is pictured above with his high school teammate and friend, Dave Gibson, who played at Gustavus Adolphus College and is now a pastor at Grace church in eden prairie..

Bob's Early Years


Bob is an "eagle scout" and Graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1973.  He was active in sports including football and wrestling. Bob received All-Conference Honors in both sports.  He haS one younger sister, Jane, pictured below on the football sidelines, who is married TO steve kolias.  Bob also worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at silver lake beach in North St. Paul for many years.
Bob Fletcher was born in St. Paul and his family lived in an apartment at 1600 Ford Parkway just West of the Highland Water Tower.  His parents Bob Fletcher Sr. and Delores Skoglund grew up in the Highland & West Seventh Street neighborhoods, attending Monroe High School.  After Bob's father returned from serving in the Korean war he quickly proposed to bob's mom, delores, and they later moved to their new home in maplewood. Bob's cousin, GaIL Fletcher, pictured in the "Popsicle" picture above, married Dave Cossetta, Owner of Cossetta's Restaurant.
